The Biology Department at Lycoming College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, starting August 2027. 

This is a unique opportunity for an energetic educator and scholar to help shape a new academic major. Beyond teaching, the successful candidate will guide the acquisition of laboratory teaching and research equipment and assist in designing facilities for the new Exercise Science major, established in 2026. 

Teaching & Mentorship Responsibilities include Introduction to Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology (300-level), departmental/general education offerings (e.g., courses for non-science majors, First-Year Seminars), and mentoring a diverse student population through coursework, undergraduate research, and capstone experiences. 

Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field by the start date. Previous undergraduate teaching experience is strongly preferred.
